Wearing a hot pink outfit and a black cowboy hat, the 43-year-old actor began his rendition of the Oscar-nominated song \u2018I’m Just Ken\u2019 by singing directly to his Barbie costar Margot Robbie, who couldn’t suppress her laughter.<\/p>\n

Mark Ronson joined him on stage with a bunch of men wearing cowboy hats and suits, including fellow Kens Scott Evans, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Ncuti Gatwa.<\/p>\n

To cap off the incredible performance, Gosling was joined by Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen after being carried by the Kens and encircled by enormous cartoon Barbie heads. <\/p>\n

He then made his way back to the audience, where Greta Gerwig, the director, and America Ferrera, who costarred with him in Barbie, joined in on the famous song.<\/p>\n

Along with Billie Eilish and Finneas’ \u2018What Was I Made For?”, Barbie is up for two awards in the Best Original Song category: \u2018I’m Just Ken,\u2019 written by Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.<\/p>\n

Gosling has been having a great time leading up to the Oscars. He even made an appearance in a funny Oscars 2024 TV spot alongside America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon, his Barbie co-stars.<\/p>\n

The Barbie star was honored in the Best Supporting Actor category for his portrayal of Ken, <\/p>\n

even though Gosling doesn’t get credit if the song wins\u2014that honor belongs to Ronson and Wyatt (the Oscar ultimately went to Oppenheimer’s Robert Downey Jr.).<\/p>\n

His nomination for the box office smash is his third Academy Award nomination overall; he last received a nomination for the musical La La Land in 2016.<\/p>\n

This year’s Critics Choice Awards saw \u2018I’m Just Ken\u2019 win best original song, which caused Ryan Gosling to make an incomprehensible face that went viral on social media. <\/p>\n

Rosnson and Wyatt acknowledged the actor for his \u2018matchless performance\u2019 during their acceptance speech.<\/p>\n
