<\/p>\nSpanish guitarist Antonio Cadenas turned 101 in May of 2021. 1919 saw his birth in Terque, Spain. The tale of Cadenas and his musical experiences are extraordinary and one-of-a-kind.<\/p>\n
He is the living example of the well-known proverb \u2018Age is just a number.\u2019 In addition to having experienced the strain of time, he also has Alzheimer’s disease.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Even with Alzheimer’s disease, Cadenas is still able to practice his piano skills and remember musical theory. <\/p>\n
Cadenas is an exceptionally skilled pianist who remains unfazed by these obstacles, as demonstrated by his performance of Juan D’Arienzo’s Lagrimas y sonrisas.<\/p>\n
D’Arienzo first made the tune Lagrimas y sonrisas available in 1936. Tears and Smiles is how the title is translated.<\/p>\n
Now that his son and his family are taking care of him, Cadenas lives with them. He is seated in front of his piano in a room next to his son. <\/p>\n
He follows his son to the piano and starts to play. After his initial prompt, he plays the song effortlessly <\/p>\n
on the piano without any difficulty. His son beams and gives him a standing ovation after his performance.<\/p>\n
When he was younger, his mother and the priests from a nearby cathedral gave him his first piano lessons. Cadenas took a sabbatical from music between 1942 and 1946 to serve in the military. <\/p>\n

After serving in the military, Cadenas’ love of music returned, and he continued to work as an educator until his retirement in the 1980s.<\/p>\n
Cadenas’ musical ability is a tribute to those artists who play for the joy of others even in the face of adversity and carry on with their craft. <\/p>\n
The ability of music to heal both performers and listeners is demonstrated by Cadenas’ unwavering dedication and natural talent.<\/p>\n
