After purchasing a home, they discovered a hollow spot beneath the scullery floor. After looking around, they discovered a metal hatch hidden beneath a cabinet. <\/p>\n

They discovered a tunnel going around 100 meters below the surface when they opened the hatch. They arrived at a sizable bunker in their backyard. A lengthy yellow electrical cable ran the length of the tunnel.<\/p>\n

They discovered vintage glass jars of whiskey and rum from 1945 inside the bunker. They also discovered a padlocked, rusted luggage. <\/p>\n

There were classified files on Allied Navy submarines from 1945 within. During World War II, these might have been significant. <\/p>\n

They also found a room filled with bed linens, clothing, and gun holsters. Because there was no oxygen or light in the rooms, <\/p>\n

they discovered documents, binoculars, and anti-aircraft weaponry in excellent condition as they ascended a ladder to an observation tower. <\/p>\n

When Lindsay’s family realized how significant the discovery was historically, they converted the majority of the bunker into a museum. These days, it receives up to a million visits annually. <\/p>\n

People can learn about what transpired beneath ordinary houses during World War II at the exhibit. Lindsay thinks that in order to look toward the future, one must first understand the past.<\/p>\n
