Wanda B. Goines became well-known on the internet when she was 92 years old. Her caregiver, Kathryn Clausnitzer Wilson, recorded her reciting a poem she wrote, titled “The Gift Wrap & The Jewel,” which she wrote herself.

As she sits in a large beige armchair, this seemingly insignificant little lady draws attention to herself. In a dignified long black skirt with an embroidered blouse and pearl necklaces, she is suited for the occasion. Despite this, her eloquent comments about aging serve as a reminder that it is what is on the inside that matters.
