Wedding photos are intended to preserve the romanticism and memories of the ceremony, but for one couple, their photo shoot took a daring turn that they will never forget.
A young kid was struggling in the surrounding water as Clayton and Brittany Cook were taking wedding photos on a park bridge in Cambridge, Ontario, according to CTV News in Canada.
The bride told CTV Kitchener, ‘I glance over and I see Clay in the water and I think, what is he doing?’
Her husband leaped into the river while wearing his wedding suit as soon as he realized there was a youngster in danger and pulled him to safety.
Clayton Cook remarked, ‘His face was submerged and he was battling, like he was really fighting.’ ‘Fortunately, he was just a little guy… I simply sort of hopped him up, to be honest.
It appeared as though the boy had been shoved in, according to the couple and the wedding photographer who photographed the heroic moment of the groom. He was fine, thank goodness, and a sibling who was older took him home.
Photographer Darren Hatt posted two images of the impromptu rescue mission on his Facebook page after the dramatic photo shoot. Cook’s efforts have received numerous ‘unbelievable’ and “courageous” comments from commenters.
Hatt stated, ‘It was a commendable thing he did and he leapt into action quite quickly. “He had already saved the day almost as soon as I realized what was happening.’ Mrs. Cook claimed that she married her husband because of his unselfish deeds.
She remarked, ‘That’s Clay, like that’s Clay to me.’ It is something he would naturally do. We were nearly destined to be there; it was almost like fate. Although their marriage may have had a turbulent beginning, it seems like these two were meant to be.’
