Homeless man selling CDs in front of a restaurant – the manager’s reaction will warm your heart

There are many reasons why people become homeless: perhaps they suffer from some form of addiction, they lost their jobs, or they were put on the street by their own relatives. Each of these people has their own sad story.

When we see the same homeless people with cardboard posters every day, many of us stop paying attention to them, thereby ignoring those who need our help.

When one day a homeless man started selling CDs at a Chick-fil-A fast food restaurant, the store manager did something most of us wouldn’t even think of.

A homeless man decided to make a few dollars selling CDs at Chick-fil-A fast food restaurant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Noticing the man, the restaurant manager goes outside to chat with him.

The restaurant has a ‘no beggars’ rule, so she has no choice but to explain to him the rules of the establishment he’s located next to.

‘Because of your sign, we cannot allow you to be here,’ she said, referring to the sale of CDs. But then she offered him a good alternative: ‘But we are happy to invite you to our institution for lunch.’

Going out to talk to a man, she took with her a package of food and a drink from the institution. And then she shook his hand firmly and asked him his name.

Christopher James, who was in the restaurant’s parking lot at the time, recorded the event on camera and then posted the footage to give the manager the recognition she truly deserves.

‘Chick-fil-A, located on Campbell Lane, deserves special mention,’ he said. ‘The guy (obviously homeless) who was selling CDs was right in front of their main entrance.’

He added: ‘The manager came up to him and said that you can’t do business here, and instead of chasing the poor guy away, she offered him food and a table to eat inside. She definitely did the right thing.’
