Bring the Box of tissues because this Southwest flight crew’s unique statement to honor a cancer-free customer is absolutely heartwarming!

Along with two other couples, Jryl Oldham and her husband Kevin are traveling to Hawaii. However, this is more than just a vacation for the buddies in a warm climate.

This journey symbolizes Jryl’s triumph over advanced breast cancer. They might not have taken this trip!

Valeri Jones is one of their traveling companions. When the captain makes the announcement to welcome Jryl over the intercom.

Valeri is prepared with the camera because her husband has informed Southwest crew members of the particular significance of this flight. There are not many experiences just like this one!

According to rumors, pilots have been known to greet freshly adopted children from Guatemala (and possibly other nations) as they land in Texas (or other ports of entry), naturally causing new parents bringing ‘home’ their precious cargo to shed a few tears.

This heartfelt shout-out, however, is something entirely different! The person receiving the honor is not dozing, fussing, or drinking a bottle.

Instead, as the plane is about to take off, she is savoring a donut, preferably a Boston Kreme. She is completely surprised when she learns the pilot is speaking to her after a few words when she is seated next to another acquaintance.

Jryl initially displays signs of insecurity. As the captain extends his welcome and best wishes, her friend to the right appears to be as surprised as Jryl, who blushes, grins, breaks down in tears, and giggles sequentially.

Jryl receives a round of applause from her fellow tourists, and her own team cheers her on!

Jryl is incredibly appreciative and content to be in that situation, with pals, and looks over her left shoulder to the other members of her group. This will undoubtedly be the trip of a lifetime!

Even though the pilot’s action that day seemed straightforward, Jryl was deeply touched by it. He said as he concluded his statement,

‘It just makes it remarkable that we can share in the human tie of caring for one another here in today’s environment. There, everyone is a large family. Hello and welcome.’ wise words, for sure!
