To improve her emotional and physical health challenges, a woman vows to continue trying something new every day for the next year. View the list

A woman who suffered from mental health issues did something different every day for a year and saw a significant improvement in her state of mind.

After trying new things for a year, such as hot yoga and beekeeping, Jess Mell claims she is happier than she has been in a decade.

An entire year has passed since the Englishwoman first set out on her challenge, but it hasn’t deterred her one bit.

Jess accomplished many ‘firsts,’ such as using a sewing machine, bleeding a radiator, and joining a gardening club.

She lived in Surrey, British Columbia, and traveled to many European cities, including Vienna, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, and Krakow. She also tried speed dating and line dancing in her home country.

The Redhill local admitted, ‘I feel really sensitive about it to be honest.’ To paraphrase, ‘I don’t think it’s possible.

Ultimately, she told SWNS news service, she convinced her father to let her ride on the car’s roof while he went down the road because she

‘wanted to finish it off with something thrilling.’ Last but not least, I put together an Instagram highlight reel of some of my year’s activities for the first time.

In the middle of the year, she realized that it was unrealistic to do ‘one thing every day,’ so she refocused her efforts.

So, she made a pact with herself to try something new every day for a year.If I had the time, I could get ten things done in a day.

Jess, who is sometimes accompanied by friends, has found that venturing outside her comfort zone is the most rewarding aspect of the overall experience.I feel like there’s always something I should be doing.

Her list is an interesting mishmash of things, ranging from exciting ‘firsts’ like witnessing an ice hockey game and playing with miniature pigs to instructive missions like learning how to hang a picture and sew a button.

‘It’s now simply a regular part of my life,’ Jess, who has been documenting the whole thing on Instagram, said.’I have so many other things I want to try…

The best part of this whole adventure has been the way I now respond everytime I have a ‘I could try that’ thought:’ why don’t I?’
