A painful American Idol audition brought Katy Perry to tears. This story will give you goosebumps(Video)

A recent audition on American Idol moved viewers to tears, including celebrity judge Katy Perry, who was visibly impacted.

According to sources, Katy was a member of the jury panel that included fellow music superstars Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on Sunday, February 26.

When a 21-year-old hopeful took the stage, neither of them understood how impacted they were going to be.

Certainly, no one could have foreseen the raw emotion that would run rampant across the arena …

Yet it wasn’t so much his voice as it was his purpose for taking the stage in the first place that brought tears to my eyes.

Trey began by stating that he was from Santa Fe, Texas, before disclosing that he was a May 2018 student at Santa Fe High School.

Readers may recall the atrocity that occurred there, in which a gunman opened fire, eight people, including eight kids and two instructors passed away during that horrible accident.

’I was in art room one, and he shot up art room two before making his way to art room one,’ Trey explained to the judges and audience.

‘I had a lot of pals that died.

‘You just got the great voice,’ country music singer Luke Bryan sought to console Trey. You sung from the proper spot. You just let it out of your heart, and that’s what we like here.’

Nevertheless, the tryout circumstances were too much for Katy Perry. Before delivering a moving message, the California Gurls singer buried her face in her hands and cried.

‘This is not acceptable. You should sing here because you enjoy music. Not because you had to put up with such f***ing nonsense. You don’t have to say goodbye to eight buddies.

‘I hope you remind others that we need to change. But, you know what, I’m terrified as well.’

Trey’s amazing audition earned him a strong ‘Yes’ from all three judges, assuring his entrance to the next round.
