Many people are motivated to carry out good deeds by certain stories. Yet regrettably, occasionally,
what is intended to be a truly amazing act of compassion can instead turn into a participant’s worst nightmare.
The waitress at the Oven and Tap restaurant in Bentonville, Arkansas, experienced just that. Employees of the nearby Witly business enterprise came
here for dinner one day following a fruitful conference. Each of the gentlemen at the meal left a $100 tip for the waitress when it came time to settle the bill.
In reality, Witly planned and ran a gathering called the ‘$100 Club Dinner,’ or ’$100 Dinner Club Challenge.’
They wanted to do something really admirable to thank the servers who would serve them, according to Grant Wise, founder and president of Witly.
As a result, server Ryan Brandt was given a $4,400 tip at the conclusion of the meal! It was a huge chunk of money!
’It was terrific and really amazing to witness her reaction,’ remarked Grant Wise. This experience will be with me forever, and I think it will improve her life.
And I sincerely hope that this deed of ours will encourage many others to host such ‘100-dollar club dinners.’
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who assisted us in leaving a $4,400 tip. What took place next?
Two servers who worked at the celebration would have to split this enormous sum. To their amazement,
the manager informed them that such a huge tip should be split among all of their coworkers as well as the restaurant management.
She alleges that in her more than three years of employment there, Ryan Brandt has never been requested to give her tips.
Grant Wise demanded that the money be returned to his company’s employees when he learned what the restaurant
management planned to do. He then personally gave the money to the waitress outside the restaurant.
Nonetheless, this ended up being a problem. The girl lost her job. What was the cause of the firing?
The fact that she let the client know what the management wanted for the tip section. Ryan Brandt was fired, but Oven and Tap did not clarify why;

people would decide to organize similar activities in an effort to improve someone’s life. By the way, Witly staff members were aware of Ryan Brandt’s termination.
For her financial help, they planned a fundraiser! Yeah, motivation for good deeds is something we all need.
