In Pennsylvania, the groom’s four-year-old son from a prior relationship was a part of a lovely wedding ceremony. When this boy’s new stepmother decided to recite vows to him as well, everyone in the neighborhood started crying at the boy’s response.

Before agreeing to get married, Josh and Emily Newville, who both worked in Burlington County, New Jersey, had been dating for two years. During that period, Emily had the chance to get close to her future stepson Gage, and it was because of their closeness that a video from the Newvilles’ wedding became viral.

In the video, Emily can be seen reciting Gage’s ‘vows’ as his stepmother. She said while crying. Gage slams into Emily, sobbing and giving her a tight hug as he says, ‘I want you to be safe, try your best, and be a nice person.’ This was caught on camera by Jessica Husted Photography.

The stepmother continued, her voice trembling, but she was adamant that she tell her new stepson what she needed to. ‘I’m sure we’ll butt heads…
