Actor Sylvester Stallone admitted that he tried to get a role in Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘The Godfather’ from the Paramount studio, but was rejected.Stallone spoke about this in an interview with Empire.

According to the actor, he wanted to star in the famous wedding scene and appear in the background with Marlon Brando, James Caan, Al Pacino and Coppola’s sister Talia Shire, who later starred with Stallone in ‘Rocky’.

‘I went to Paramount and said, ‘Can I be in the wedding scene?’ The representatives of the studio replied that they are not sure that he fits the role.

Stallone then blurted out, ‘I don’t fit the part? Play in the background hiding behind the damn wedding cake?’
