He was a very hard act to follow, Susan Lucci says of her late husband Helmut Huber, therefore she has no interest in dating again.

Susan Lucci, a well-known soap opera star, recently explored the possibilities of falling in love

again and indicated that she is not yet ready to return to the dating scene following the death of her husband Helmut Huber.

Huber died in March 2022, at the age of 84, after a lengthy career in television production as Lucci’s manager. Their marriage lasted over 53 years. His wife’s name was Lucci.

During a meal at the Red Salt Room restaurant at the Garden City Hotel on Long Island in the 1960s, the two people became acquainted for the first time.

Huber, who was born in Austria, was the hotel’s culinary manager and head chef at the time, and Lucci had recently finished college and was working there as a waitress.

Huber was nine years older than Lucci and acted as her boss at work, so he didn’t dare approach her out of fear that she would turn him down. However,

he said that he was startled the moment he set eyes on his future wife in an interview with People that was published in 1999.

Despite this, Lucci had already chosen to celebrate her engagement at the Garden City Hotel because she was already engaged to someone else.

Huber could not hold back from telling Lucci’s mother that he does not think this relationship would succeed even if he was present to witness the celebration.

Lucci ultimately decided to break off her engagement and started dating Huber as a result. The two were dating for nine months in total before getting married in September 1969.

The role of Erica Kane on the daytime drama ’All My Children,’ which Lucci would play for the following forty years, had also been secured by 1970.

The marriage of Lucci and Huber was successful because it gave birth to two children, Liza and Andreas.

As her career started to take off, Huber decided to leave the restaurant business and switch to being her manager.

The pair formed a production firm in addition to becoming one of New York’s most prominent show business couples.

Ten months after the death of her spouse, Lucci sobbed while speaking to Rosanna Scotto of ‘Good Day New York,’ stating that she is not yet ready to find a new love partner.

Lucci claimed that although others have tried to set her up with someone, she is unable to picture herself going on a date.

The actress repeated her answers on February 1, 2023 while taking part in a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

’(Dating) is not something I’ve thought about…
Lucci continued, ‘He left a large imprint that will be hard to fill.’

The actress gleefully revealed in a 2021 interview that she felt tremendously blessed to be married to Huber for such a long time and with such stability.

She described her husband as “confident” and ‘very bright,’ and she claimed that he ‘always made her laugh.’

He was the one who assisted her and became her rock because she was only 22 when she became a famous TV celebrity.

After Huber passed away, the Daytime Emmy Awards were hosted in his honor in 2022, and Lucci spoke of her lifelong love while accepting the trophy.

Helmet Huber, my late husband, was a force of nature who was greater than life. He was a skillful caretaker who knew exactly how to make things happen while also maintaining our collective happiness.

The actress, on the other hand, claimed that she had been interacting with a number of friends who frequently traveled.

She is grateful that she is surrounded by such lovely people because she is a single woman. Several individuals who contacted with Radar

Online claim that Lucci was uncomfortable with the idea of online dating or even blind dates since she believed that the dating scene had changed dramatically since the last time she was single.
