Teens Leave Graduation To Fight Fire At Classmate’s Home And Ended Up In The Most Dangerous Situation…

When they heard the alarm, six seniors from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in Port Jefferson, Long Island,

whose ages vary from 17 to 18, Ryan Parmegiani, Kasumi Layne-Stasik, Hunter Volpi, Andrew Patterson, Shane Hartig, and Peter Rizzo, sprung into action.

Even on the day of their graduation, the youngsters who volunteer for the Port Jefferson Fire Department continued to perform their duties.

In the late evening, the siren sounded. The youngsters initially believed it to be a joyful siren. According to Kasumi Layne-Stasik, it went off twice.

I was too engrossed in the moment to hear the first one, which was a congrats, as everyone was raising their caps.

Peter Rizzo quickly persuaded his friends to leave. Upon responding to the fire while the entire group ran with certificates in hand, he even forgot his tie was still fastened.

At the home of a classmate who had also graduated, they were successful in putting out a fire that had started in

a garage at the back of a house. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident. Thanks for the prompt reply from the students.

Eric Haruthunian, the principal of Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, praised the courageous students in a tweet that read, ‘Our wonderful graduates (by only 20 minutes)

jumped into action to save their community. Ryan, Andrew, Shane, Hunter, Kasumi, and Peter did a great job.’
