On December 8, Isaiah McIntyre helped an old woman enter the Millinocket store known as the Katahdin General Store.
It all started when he witnessed the elderly woman slipping and falling on a patch of ice while holding both her handbag and cane in the opposite hand.

He got out of his car, walked over to the woman, asked if she needed help, and helped her to the dry pavement.
He accepted the woman’s thanks and went on his way, not giving the situation any thought. On the other
hand, there was a female bystander who took pictures of the proceedings and posted them on Facebook.

The woman in the image has been identified by users as Marjorie Moore, 93. According to Moore, when her kids questioned
her about leaving the house on such a chilly day, she reassured them that it wasn’t too cold and that there wasn’t much ice on the sidewalk.

Moore, who will turn 94 in January and is alone in an apartment at an assisted living facility, claimed that she thanked the man and told him that he was a very nice man.
After posting the picture online, more than 2,600 people from Maine and as far away as Italy have sent notes and comments on it.
Mcintrye continues, ‘It’s not every day that you see people respond positively toward other individuals,’ after being surprised by all the compliments.
