Diana Keaton made a career out of playing successful rom-com characters, but she hasn’t had nearly as much luck finding love in real life.

At least that’s what the actress, who acknowledged that it has been a whopping 35 years since her last date, said.

The 77-year-old actress Keaton, who has received numerous awards in the entertainment business, including two Golden Globes and an Academy Award, declared that she has no immediate plans to date.

One would assume Diane Keaton would have no issues at all with romantic relationships. After all,

the Los Angeles-born actress has been stealing audiences’ hearts on screen for more than 50 years.

The 77-year-old has performed particularly well in parts where she is shown as having a romantic relationship.

Her performances in movies like Annie Hall (1977), Father of the Bride (1991), and Something’s Gotta Give (2003) made her popular among people of all ages.

Keaton has struggled with her own romantic life for the better part of almost four decades, it would seem.

In a 2019 interview with InStyle Magazine, the Maybe I Do actress was questioned about whether or not guys usually ask her out.

Never, Keaton chuckled in response. Are you okay? Let’s be clear about that. That one is significant. I wouldn’t say I’ve been on a date in 35 years, she continued. Not a date.

Despite having ‘a lot of male pals,’ Keaton claimed that she has ‘no dates’ scheduled in the near future.

Keaton has never been married, but when she was younger, she was a part of a number of well-known relationships.

The actress revealed to PEOPLE a few years ago that she ‘had a crush’ on Al Pacino in 1971 while they were co-starring in The Godfather.

I was crazy for him. At the time, Keaton described him as ‘charming, amusing, and a never-ending talker.’

Also, she discussed her friendship with Warren Beauty, calling him ’a fantastic individual. Very intricate and endearing. He ought to have produced more films.’

Keaton was very open about her relationship with Woody Allen. Early in the 1970s, the two first started dating, and they are still good friends today.

She said, ‘I just adored him, I truly did. He is just hilarious.’
