After his victory over Amber Heard in court, Johnny Depp practically disappeared from the radar.
As it turned out recently, the actor settled in the English suburbs. And if even then the fans started to
worry about the extremely strange appearance of their idol, now is definitely the time for them to sound the alarm.
And the thing is that Johnny decided to change his profession and … become a pub owner. The fact that
the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star has set his sights on a drinking establishment in the village of Smarden.

The Checkers Inn pub is owned by the fiancee of British chef Paul Hollywood, who hosts Britain’s Best Baker cooking show, and is valued at one million pounds (or $1.2 million).
Interestingly, amid talk of a takeover, its prices skyrocketed. As a result, locals complain that the pub has turned from a cool local spot into an expensive metropolitan institution.
And now for why this purchase is a really bad idea…

To begin with, Depp is not new to the restaurant business. In the early nineties, he opened the Viper Room nightclub in Los Angeles,
where celebrities could not feel like they were on display. Naturally, all his friends really liked this
approach, and the establishment quickly became a center of attraction for rising stars like Keanu Reeves and Brad Pitt.
However, it all came to a bad end, with the club gaining a bad reputation after the tragic death of 23-year-old River Phoenix in 1993.
One of Hollywood’s most promising young actors has died of an overdose right outside the Viper Room. You say it was a long time ago and it’s not true.
Perhaps so, but it’s no secret that Depp himself was abusing alcohol and illegal substances until recently. Amber Heard spoke about her shocking drunken behavior during the trial.

And although the actor categorically denied all cases of violence, he did not argue with the fact that he suffered from addiction for many years.
And there are so many temptations waiting for him in his own pub… In general, we are afraid that the English farmers
of Depp’s institution will be surprised not only by the high prices. And, of course, we will not definitely follow the developments.
