A director was determined to get an actor to change his mind, so he did everything he could, like give him a lot of money and change the direction of the story.

Richard got a stutter after spending the whole night listening to the artists talk.

When he got home, he found a note in his pocket that Julia had put there for him to find.

Richard was persuaded by her clever moves, so he agreed to take the job.
