Rita Roeland, who was 65 at the time, had given up on her dream of becoming a singer. However, her daughter convinced her to go to an audition anyway.

Rita chose the Etta James song “At Last” to sing on a show of The Voice of Vlaanderen.

This Belgian singer from Herzele gave one of the best performances ever seen on The Voice Senior, and all four coaches were blown away.

When Rita finally took charge of the stage, her love of singing came out in a way that made all of the judges stop what they were doing and pay attention.

Rita needed some time to calm down and let her voice flow easily so she could give her best performance.

Helmut Lotti was the first judge to speak, and the other two judges followed him almost right away. As things turned out, Rita’s choice to join Team Lotti was a lucky one.

This unknown singer-songwriter decided to record a cover version of a song that famous artists like Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, and Beyoncé had already done.

Rita Roeland surprised everyone at her audition for The Voice Senior by showing that she had a voice and range on par with the greats.

When she sang the traditional song “At Last,” she gave the audience a pleasant harmony that sounds great.
