5-year-old besties get the same haircut so they will have no differences… See them now…

It is important to emphasize that children are incapable of holding prejudice in a culture where many adults rely on bigotry and racist stereotypes.

As this story shows, elders shouldn’t believe they’re always right and that there is nothing to learn from the younger generation.

This incredible tale was first shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page by Lydia Stith Rosebush in 2017, and its popularity has grown exponentially ever since.

After reading the backstory, I understand why things transpired in that fashion.

One thing five-year-old Jax knows for sure is that he and his best friend, Reddy, look so much alike that they could be twins.

Jax claims that he and his best friend Reddy are indistinguishable from one another save for the fact that Jax wears his hair in a standing style while Reddy keeps his hair short.

Jax reasoned that he could pull a brief prank on Reddy’s teacher by getting a haircut on the weekend and then surprising her with it on Monday.

If they both went to the barbershop and had the identical cut, there would be no way for their teacher to tell them apart.

Jax said on Facebook that he couldn’t wait until Monday, when he and Reddy would both have their hair styled similarly so that their instructor wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

Online, Lydia wrote, “I don’t know what else to say if this isn’t evidence that hatred and racism are taught.” If you ask Jax, the only discernible distinction between them is in their hairstyles.

In less than a week, the post was liked by over 85,000 people and shared over 25,000 times.

Many site visitors have contributed personal anecdotes about the tolerant nature of today’s youth.

An educator from Germany shared the conversation she overheard between a mother and her son.

The child’s response to his mother’s inquiry regarding the racial makeup of his class was emphatic: “None, Mom.” My class consists entirely of young people, ages 8 to 18.

There is no indication that Jax and Reddy have broken up since their adorable love story went viral a couple years ago.

They seem like the greatest of friends, and maybe they are!

Do we not have anything to learn from our own children’s experiences?

Spreading this message will help Jax get more people on board with his amazing quest.

My hope is that adults would learn to look beyond appearances when making judgments about others.
