When Derek Prue Sr., a Canadian, saw that his son, Derek Jr., didn’t want to throw a T-shirt into the pool, he made the brave and loving choice to help him. The place where Derek Prue Sr. lives is Canada.
He noticed that his child was hiding his scar, which he was proud of, and he wanted to show him that he was not the only one who felt that way.
Dad got the same pattern tattooed on his own body to help his son feel less self-conscious about his birthmark.
The father went to Juicy Quill Tattoo thinking that the tattoo process would take a few hours. Instead, it took thirty hours to finish the tattoo, with the first session taking about four hours.

Derek Sr. was determined to show his son that he wasn’t alone and that he was proud of his scar, even though it would hurt him and take a long time.
When Derek Sr. and his family got back to the pool, Derek Sr. took off his T-shirt to show his son the tattoo he had gotten, which was a copy of his son’s birthmark.
When the child saw that his father had done this for him, he couldn’t believe it. He was so happy he couldn’t hold it in.
The little boy also took off his T-shirt to look at his scar and compare it to the tattoo on his father’s arm. Because of this, he felt a lot better about himself and no longer cared about his scar.
Because his father made fun of him in the tattoo parlor, Derek Jr. now has a better sense of self-worth and is less self-conscious about his birthmark. It was well worth the trouble.
The son’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth have grown a lot because his father loves and supports him no matter what.

This is a powerful example of how much a father loves his child and how far he is ready to go to make sure his child is healthy and happy.
