For every woman, having children is a major accomplishment. Of course, Hoda Kotb is not an exception.
The well-known television personality is now speaking out about her painful transition into parenting.
To learn more about the struggles Hoda faced before becoming a mother, keep reading.

In a recent podcast, Hoda Kotb discussed her adoption experience, which resulted in the birth of her daughters, Haley, 6, and Hope, 3.
The American television host admitted that she was embarrassed and hesitant to confess her desire to become a mother before she adopted her daughter Haley.
‘I remember never saying out loud that I wanted kids, never, because it was too late,’ the 58-year-old remarked, adding,
‘For girls that it’s too late for, you don’t say it because if you say it, you’re expressing something that you’re never going to get.’
However, she made the bold decision to take the first step and get in touch with an adoption agency to
start the process so she could become a mother after realizing that it was never too late and that she still had time.

She stated, ‘I completed all the necessary paperwork and other requirements, and they were like, ‘Okay, maybe a year, maybe six months, maybe five years, bye.
When she recalled the moment she found out she would become a mother, she started to cry. ‘I was going on and on over the phone with a dietitian while I sat there discussing things.
When my phone rang, I quickly glanced at it to see Ashley, who I recognized as the representative
from my adoption agency. She instructed me to contact her back right away if she ever texted me.
‘I heard her name, hung up the phone, pulled out a yellow pad, and wrote, ’11:55. I was aware that everything was
about to alter at this point, she said. I inhaled deeply before dialing the phone, asking for Ashley, and she responded.

The daytime host cried as she said, ‘I don’t know how delivery feels, and I suppose it was fantastic, but this was really close. ‘I still vividly recall that sensation.’
Kotb published an emotive post about motherhood on Mother’s Day just gone. Happy Mother’s Day, she wrote alongside photos of her cherished daughters.
You gave me the opportunity to become a mother, something I had always wanted, Hopey and Haley. And to my mother: Without your love, nothing was ever imaginable.
When Kotb’s youngest daughter was admitted to the ICU in March, she was forced to take a break from anchoring the Today Show.
She gave her followers updates on how much better her daughter was doing but yet admitting that visiting her in the hospital had been difficult.
