When the bus driver notices two little children alone in the icy weather, she reacts quickly.

Wisconsin bus driver Nicole Chamberlain told WISN how she assisted two children who were stumbling down the route.

On a chilly Monday morning, it took place. Nicole noticed a kid and her older brother walking outside while it was 18 degrees outside and there was snow on the ground.

To put it mildly, it was shocking. As Nicole Chamberlain stated on WISN: ‘The little girl was wearing only a t-shirt and diaper; neither of them had a coat on.’

They were traveling toward a busy junction, and I knew there was neither a school nor a bus stop there, so I knew I had to stop and assist them.

She being present prevented anything worse from happening to the two, which was a good thing.

It was also fortunate timing that no one with malicious intent was present to exploit the children’s defenselessness.

Nicole yelled ‘whoa’ as soon as she saw the two kids. After that, she applied the brakes and stopped on the side of the road.

Clearly, there was a problem.

The bus driver got out and questioned the kids about why they were outside on such a chilly morning. In response, the children stated that they were seeking for their grandmother.

Nicole immediately knew what to do.
She stated to the news outlet:

I invited her to go with me and promised to put her on a warm bus and assist her in finding granny.

That morning, the bus driver was like an angel to them. She escorted the six-year-old aboard the bus, carried the two-year-old in her arms, and dialed 911.

As soon as the bus driver contacted the authorities, the stressful situation became relieved.

Nicole not only took charge of the situation and looked out for the children’s safety, but she also made sure they were kept warm.

The bus driver was shown on videotape covering the toddler’s exposed legs with her coat.

After a brief delay, the children’s grandmother showed up.

The grandma, who was relieved and appreciative, revealed how her grandchildren came to stray off by themselves.

When the young boy and his infant sister left the house, she was in the basement.

The police recommended against filing any charges because the event was ‘accidental.’ The bus driver clarified that he didn’t think much of what she did:

‘I would hope that someone a decent human being —would stop and help my children if that were to happen to them.’

She was in the ideal situation at the ideal time.

Nicole had actually departed that morning five minutes earlier, per the GMA report. She wouldn’t have ever seen the two kids if she hadn’t taken that action.

That day, she really was their angel.
