Pierce never imagined falling in love again after the passing of his first spouse. Later, he ran into Keely Shaye.

And if a James Bond actor, the very definition of a dapper gentleman, does it, we won’t be surprised.

However, Pierce Brosnan’s romantic life does not proceed in this manner. The James Bond actor demonstrated what enduring,

healthy love looks like by transitioning from one committed relationship to the next. In reality, Brosnan is a man who had a second chance at love.

Since the year 1980, Brosnan has been wed to Cassandra Harris for more than ten years. Harris was identified as having ovarian cancer and passed dead in 1991.

The actor from Tomorrow Never Dies discussed his loss and how he and his family handled it.

He tells Us Weekly that when one is confronted with mortality, their viewpoint is dramatically altered.

He said they enjoyed every second spent with Harris. Then, three years after the passing of his wife, he encountered Keely Shaye Smith.

Smith started her career as an actor and a model, but she ultimately discovered that filming, particularly films concerning environmental protection, was her true calling.

She first met Brosnan at a party in Mexico while working as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.

She was swept off her feet in a flash. In 2001, the couple exchanged vows. They were fortunate to have Paris and Dylan shortly after that.

After that, the pair raised all five of their children together, including Sean, Harris’ son with Brosnan, and Charlotte and Chris, Harris’ children from her first marriage.

Additionally, Brosnan is never shy about expressing his affection for his wife. He claimed,

‘I found a great woman in Keely Shaye,’ in an interview. No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t find one as good.

Additionally, he called her his ‘North Star.’

In an Instagram post, Brosnan praised Smith for being sympathetic and gentle as she urged him to grieve for his deceased wife.

I guess Keely is my North Star, always watching out for me, he said. Only positive things were said about their mother by their kids as well.

Paris and Dylan stated that their mother has always been actively involved in all she does, especially when it comes to preserving the environment, in an interview with PEOPLE in 2019.

They even said that she was the family’s ‘main philanthropist’ and the one who involved Brosnan in a number of causes.

But Brosnan also included Smith in his universe.
One of Brosnan’s most recent movies, Black Adam, has an Easter egg for cinema and comic book aficionados.

He stated that he chose to wear his own wedding ring and a watch that Smith gave to him for his character, Doctor Fate.

He continued by saying that, given that Doctor Fate also had a wife, wearing those accessories ‘seemed appropriate’ for his persona.

Because of their love for one another, the two continue to succeed in their careers. Fast Charlie, Four Letters of Love, and The Last Rifleman actor Brosnan recently finished filming.

As a producer of many documentaries like Poisoning Paradise and Women of the White Buffalo, Smith offers a much-needed platform for environmental and social advocacy.
