Whether or whether their children will be able to find a life partner is something that many parents worry about.
This is a bigger concern for parents of children who have learning difficulties or disabilities. However,
everything went so perfectly for Tommy and Maryanne that it seems like their tale is straight out of a fairy tale.

Maryanne and Tommy both have Down syndrome, yet they were nevertheless able to celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary.
When Maryanne was 19 and Tommy was 32, they first spoke in 1990. A genuinely unique friendship resulted from their undeniable spark that was present from the start.

The pair has been married for more than 25 years and is still going strong. They appreciate their time together and make
wonderful memories every day. Maryanne even said that she tells her spouse she loves him three times a day.

But for them, not everything has been sunshine and roses. Tommy and Maryanne’s relationship has overcome obstacles and naysayers.
Maryanne’s mother, Linda, has been branded a ‘bad mother’ by some for allowing her daughter to wed, but Linda considers her daughter finding love to be the best thing she could have hoped for.
Linda wishes she could have had this love in her own life because she admires the openness and genuineness in their relationship.
Maryanne and Tommy’s ‘fairy tale’ started when they happened to run into one other by chance while
working at a local training facility for individuals with disabilities because they both loved to cook.

Tommy was sadly identified as having Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2021. However, Maryanne is now making friends with her family.
