Sydney Kemble West and Sam West are more than just a talented dancing team. They have a unique relationship as father and daughter as well.

Judges were in amazement after watching them dance at the prestigious National Shag Dance Championships (NSDC) in Myrtle Beach.

The music? ‘Stand By Me’

They not only won outstanding awards at the competition, but their endearing routine also resonated with viewers online, winning over the admiration of all online spectators.

There is no denying The Wests’ innate skill.

Sam, in instance, started dancing the Shag when he was just nine years old, and since then he has racked up an astounding list of titles and honors.

His extraordinary abilities have brought him a number of coveted titles over the years.

He has won the NSDC Overall Champion title several times. Notably, he and Sarah, his dance partner and sister, shared the prestigious award in 1995.

In addition, Sam’s dance talent has also shone while collaborating with his wife, Lisa, leading to numerous spectacular wins and well-deserved praise.

Together, as a unified force, they have been spreading their expertise and passion of the Shag dance throughout the United States and have expanded their influence to hold workshops abroad.

Sydney’s success in the mesmerizing art of Shag is not surprising given the extraordinary skill that flows in their family.

She and her father accomplished the amazing achievement of winning the Professional Division of the NSDC, confirming their status as deserving champions.

The dynamic father-daughter team of Sam and Sydney hit the dance floor once more for a thrilling contest in the prestigious Professional Division.

This time, the soulful melody of ‘Stand By Me’ wonderfully matched their enthralling performance.

The video offers a close-up look at the incredible talent and effort that this exceptional pair has invested.

Their delicate feet deftly glide over the floor, demonstrating their extraordinary skills as Eric Marienthal’s jazz composition reverberates throughout the space.

As was already noted, it is uncommon to see a father dance so smoothly with his darling daughter.

The prominence is increased by the National Shag Dance Championships (NSDC), which have been held yearly at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, since 1984.

It’s a really amazing experience.

In fact, the 2020 competition will mark its 37th iteration, according to the NSDC website, making it the longest-running Shag competition in the country.
