Harold Rahming, a captain in the US Army with 17 years’ service, had a surprise for his wife Cara, who was about to give birth to the couple’s first child.

At the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago in the United States, the dramatic incident took place.

It was easy to notice the military member’s partner holding a toy for his wife Cara while waiting in a quiet corner of the delivery room.

As she suddenly turned to face her husband, she let out a shocked gasp, and the two of them quickly embraced deeply and passionately while holding back their tears.

When I returned after using the restroom, there were like a ton of people with cameras, and I was like, ‘Why are you recording?’ In her rendition, Cara describes the tense situation.

She was taken aback when Harold, who had been stationed in Iraq and was not anticipated to return for at least another month, unexpectedly appeared in front of her.

The baby was born a short while later, and his parents gave him the name Harold Leroy Rahming the Second.

The joyful father of the infant boy, who had returned from Iraq in time for the birth of his son, remarked,

‘No words can describe the sensation that you have when you meet your wife and your child for the first time.
