This November, Dolly Parton will release her debut rock album, but don’t anticipate seeing her on tour performing the 9 To 5 hitmaker’s surefire classics.

The Queen of Country doesn’t anticipate retirement, but she also doesn’t anticipate multi-city tours.

‘Not any time soon, I won’t be going on tour. As they say, ‘never say never,’ but I’ll never retire.

But right now, traveling is a bit much for me. For a tour to be successful, you need to dedicate at least six months to planning it,

and you should plan to perform for around a year and a half, Parton told Chris Evans of The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. However, Parton isn’t completely giving up on performing.

‘I just don’t want to go touring anymore. I’ll keep performing exceptional events like lengthy weekends.

I’ll likely perform at a few more venues, but not on tour. Even though she intended to release a new album,

the 77-year-old singer-songwriter earlier indicated her intention to discontinue traveling.

As for what Parton has in store, the Queen of Nashville hopes to have a documentary done about her entire career in addition to spending more time with her husband.

‘I want to film a life documentary. I consider those to be fantastic. I’m now working on a Broadway musical about my life that I’ve been

attempting to complete for the past 15, 20, and I hope to be able to perform it soon since it says a lot about my life.

‘I’ve made many documentaries, many different documentaries, but one day I’d like to make a documentary that tells the whole story of my life and documents everything I’ve done.”
