Skaters take to the ice for a synchronized performance of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ and they steal the show.

There are those people, though, who glide and pivot around the slick surface like they were born to skate.

The NEXXICE Senior team’s performance in the Canadian Synchronized Skating Championship is one such breathtaking display that can leave you speechless.

A song that requires no introduction is ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ the iconic rock anthem. Even if you don’t enjoy

rock music or aren’t a fan of Queen, practically everyone can relate to this timeless song. It has appeared in a lot of films, musicals, and television programs.

But you don’t frequently get to hear it in the background of an ice show. The moment the NEXXICE Senior team on the ice and the famous Queen song started to play,

the spectators at the Canadian Synchronized Skating Championship were in for a delightful surprise.

The skaters leapt into action, skating effortlessly around the rink in perfect unison with one another as Freddie Mercury’s distinctive voice resounded throughout the arena.

The skaters’ coordination was simply amazing.

They sailed beautifully around the ice, maintaining perfect sync with each other despite the difficult spins, lifts, and balance tricks.

The skaters’ performance, which they gave while wearing sophisticated black attire, was a lovely addition to the music.

But the concern on everyone’s mind was how they would manage the song’s more intense sections.

Fans of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ are aware that the song begins out slowly before accelerating to a quick and dramatic crescendo.

The beat of the skaters abruptly shifted when the iconic Freddie Mercury line, ‘I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all,’ resounded around the arena.

To the joy of the crowd, they raised a number of their teammates into the air.

The skaters upped their performance as the operatic section of the song with its humorous lyrics and energetic sounds began.

Everyone was transfixed as they started to spin in circles, join arms, and glide side-by-side across the ice.

The only male performer in the ensemble performed a handstand on the ice as his teammates posed around him to cap off the show with an outstanding finish.

It was evident that the skaters had given a worthy homage to such a great song with their equally memorable performance because the routine was exciting and energetic.

The group’s outstanding performance was not surprising to those who are familiar with the world of skating.

The NEXXICE Seniors have won the National Championships 11 times, and they have twice been named World Synchronized Skating Champions!
