Winters in Oklahoma City can be very cold, and many locals rely heavily on the heating system for the heat they need.
Unfortunately, these systems can fail from time to time, and a stressful, uncomfortable, and potentially dangerous situation can result.
When Stacey and Josh Lemonds discovered that their heating system wasn’t working, they became desperate.

This couple was barely making ends meet when misfortune struck. Although the boiler in their house actually worked fine, the electric company recently removed their meter for fire safety reasons.
The wires in their house were damaged and the electricity was cut off until the wires were replaced and the house passed inspection.
Josh and Stacey were just looking for work when it happened. They couldn’t afford to pay for new wiring for their house, so they did the only thing they could.

They prayed and asked members of their church community to also pray for them. But they didn’t know that their prayers would be answered so
shortly before this happened, Josh and Stacey made several meals for another man in their church community and his sick wife.
The man’s name was Joshua Matthews. He was an Afghan war veteran who was then an intern at a local electric company.
