A boy runs to the harbor every day to meet his friend, a giant sea cat.

Children often become strongly attached to animals. So, for example, very often this happens if a child grows up with a beloved cat or dog.

But the same applies to other animals – for example, turtles, birds and hamsters. This time, however, the story happened quite unusual the boy managed to make friends with a fur seal.

No, he does not keep this sea cat at home. Instead, he comes to the pier every morning and waits for his friend to swim up to him.

Apparently, this morning ritual became very important not only for the boy, but also for the animal.

Joel lives in Valle Gran Rey, a small fishing village in the Canary Islands with a population of 4,000.

According to Animal Channel, sea cats and other animals often come here to feast on unwanted prey that fishermen throw back into the sea.

Every morning, Joel goes to the harbor and goes down the steps leading directly into the water. After that, he sits down and waits for his friend.

Sea cats are capable of inflicting painful stings with their poisonous thorn, but are usually peaceful and attack only if they feel threatened, according to Oceana.

Apparently, there is no threat here, and the sea cat really likes to be friends with this boy.
