What emotions would you experience if, all of a sudden, a complete stranger knocked on your door and asked whether you had any ‘friends’?
Wouldn’t that be either unusual or upsetting, or even both? That, in fact, is precisely what occurred to a man named Brennan Ray, who resides in Texas,
when he had a chance meeting with a young child named Shayden Walker, who is 11 years old. The two became fast friends.
Looking for brand new companions.

The day before the Fourth of July, Shayden went to his neighbor’s house and started a sincere chat using their front door security camera.
In the video, he showed a strong desire to make new friends and stated that he was looking for kids who were between the ages of 11 and 12.
Shayden explained that the kids in the area were no longer his pals since, in his opinion, they were bullies when his neighbor,
Brennan Ray, mentioned that there were children around. Shayden and Brennan talked about the potential of Shayden playing with Brennan’s
own kids despite this setback. The unfortunate fact that Brennan’s daughter was still a toddler prevented them from becoming playmates.

Brennan was moved by their contact and made the decision to post the video on TikTok in an effort to connect with Shayden’s family and solicit their support.
He underlined in the caption how crucial it is to converse with others in order to comprehend the difficulties they encounter.
Shayden is a young man who is kind, friendly, and brave, according to Brennan, who pleaded with the TikTok community to assist Shayden in making new friends.
Unexpectedly, the TikTok video detonated like a bomb.
Brennan had no idea how much of an impact the post would have because it received so much attention and approximately 70 million views
in such a short period of time. People all across the world responded to Shayden’s tale with an outpouring of support.
According to his mother, Krishna Patterson, Shayden’s difficulties making friends have been linked to a number of diagnoses,
including autism, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
She stressed the need of realizing that these mental health issues can affect both children and adults and result in feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Krishna revealed that her kid struggled to maintain friendships and occasionally had ‘meltdowns’ that included sobbing and inadvertent harm to both himself and other people.
Unfortunately, these instances occasionally resulted in Shayden being singled out and being called names, which only made him feel more alone.
Shayden felt compelled to go to the Rays’ home since he was in desperate need of new companions. The family came to mind since their
dog had wandered into his yard a few months prior, and Shayden had thought them to be excellent people at the time.
The domino effect

Shayden started to feel better after seeing the TikTok video and the tremendous amount of caring people’s support.
The video let him connect with people from all over the world, including Hawaii, China, Australia, and England, in addition to helping him establish new friends locally.
Initially, Krishna had been concerned that the video may make Shayden the target of more mockery.
She was, however, thrilled and ecstatic to see others expressing sincere sympathy and support.

Brennan and his wife created a GoFundMe campaign in response to suggestions from others to do something special for Shayden.
Surprisingly, the campaign raised more than $37,000, which would help Shayden pursue his goals by helping him buy a gaming system, school supplies, and theme park passes.

Shayden announced that he intended to contribute a portion of the money to organizations that assist victims of tornadoes, the Ukrainian conflict,
and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family also intended to take a trip, a rare luxury for Shayden since he was a little child.
In order to prevent people from wasting their hard-earned money, Krishna chose to halt the GoFundMe campaign in less than 30 hours after being overwhelmed by the outpouring of support.
She also stressed Shayden’s want for anyone who has been harassed or mistreated to get in touch with him.
She emphasized that those who engage in bullying frequently experience unspoken anguish, and their acts might serve as a release for this misery.
Being good at all times..

Shayden is aware of the harm that can result from mockery and the potential for retaliation because he has been the victim of mistreatment.
His tale, which Brennan presented in his video, served as a potent example of love and inclusion. Brennan emphasized the
value of giving everyone a chance because it’s impossible to fully understand what struggles people may be going through on the inside.
Brennan finds in Shayden a lovely personality whose contagious joy and grin make him a good-hearted child despite the difficulties he encounters as a result of being autistic.
Shayden’s delightful meeting with them on TikTok not only made the world aware of the importance of empathy and
understanding for people who might find it difficult to connect with others, but it also made Shayden very happy.

This lovely narrative addresses the negative impacts of bullying on people, especially children,
as well as the good reactions that others had to Shayden’s story. Being kind to everyone is the first and most crucial step in becoming a true human being, thus we should all take it.
