‘My father and Walt Disney would turn over in their coffins.’ The son of the creator of ‘Snow White’ criticized the new remake…

David Hale Hand, son of animator David Dodd Hand, director of the 1937 cartoon ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ told The Telegraph in an interview

that his father and Walt Disney would ‘turn in their coffins’ if they heard what happened in the new film(about changes).

According to the man, the studio is simply destroying his father’s legacy by altering the classic Snow White plot to suit a modern agenda.

And there will be many such changes: for example, instead of dwarves, Snow White will meet other ‘magical creatures’ in the forest,

and she will not wait until the handsome prince saves her and loves her. Rachel Zegler, the lead actress

of the Snow White movie adaptation, shared these details, calling the original cartoon ‘extremely outdated.’

Hand Jr. noted that he considers this approach to adapting film classics ‘offensive’. ‘It is a completely different concept, with which I strongly disagree.

And I know my dad and Walt would be against it, too.’ He said that the original cartoon was made in ‘good taste’ and that he felt it was a ‘shame’

for Disney to make ‘radical’ changes to a previously successful cartoon; ‘There is no respect for Disney’s legacy.’

Hand advised the studio to stop ‘taking the classics and rewrite them the way they want,’ and instead focus on creating new characters and new stories.

‘Create new heroes if you really want to, but don’t tear down or try to destroy what’s already there, which is a classic and beautiful piece of work,’ he concluded.
