Unexpected and frequently unexplainable events make up life. Tragic and devastating events do happen that change the course of our lives.

These disastrous conditions affect everyone equally. Anybody can experience them at any time, and they do.

This scenario is all too familiar to Scout Lawlor and his family. The young man was engaged in a nearly fatal car accident,

as the YouTube film explains. Scout suffered serious brain trauma as a result of the collision.

The young man talks about what happened to his body as a result of the severe wounds in the video.

‘My body forgot everything,’ Scout said. ‘How to walk, talk, and breathe.’ After the collision, the young man’s long road to rehabilitation began,

and he faced an uphill battle. The road to recovery is paved with many tears and setbacks, as everyone who has ever experienced something like understands.

In these moments of extreme frustration and despair, Scout’s mother sang Rachel’s “Fight Song” to her son to motivate him to keep going.

Scout revealed to the musician over a surpise video chat how her song had influenced him.

‘I get it from the ‘Fight Song,’’ Scout claimed. It means so much to me literally. In the video, Rachel reacts by informing the young man that he has been chosen for a special reason.

You are amazing, she said. What do you know? You are on a significant life mission.

Scout says that ever since the horrible catastrophe in which he was involved, he has repeatedly reminded himself of the reasons why his life was spared.

Since the vehicle crash, Scout claims, ‘I’ve been thinking, ‘Well, I obviously have something extremely huge to do, to work up to in my life.

Rachel expresses her complete agreement with Scout’s statement while crying.

The answer is ‘Yes, you do.’
