Sonja Hilmer’s ‘Matrix’ Ice Skating Routine Is Mind-Blowing… Video below

There have been many iconic movies throughout the years. Those movies are timeless classics, and we all remember them for various reasons.

The reason ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is so well-known is due to Dorothy’s red shoes and her ‘little dog, too.’ The moment they realize they ‘need a bigger boat’ is the defining moment of ‘Jaws.’

It’s not a memorable line of conversation or a standout performance that makes “The Matrix” movies classics; rather, it’s a mind-bending sequence.

It’s the iconic moment from the first movie when Neo slows down time and contorts himself so that his spine is almost parallel to the ground.

Figure skater Sonja Hilmer demonstrates a move similar to Neo’s in a video posted on YouTube. Skating to a tune from the film’s score, Sonja is a total ice princess.

At about the 39-second mark, while still moving at a blazing pace, Sonja bends her back and lowers herself toward the ice until she is only a few inches from it.

She also does the same hand gestures as Neo does in the movie when he is trying to dodge Agent Smith’s gunfire.

Sonja immediately gets up and does her routine as if nothing had happened.

The young lady adds several jumps, twists, and turns to her already excellent performance that includes the Neo-type technique.

Few individuals were fortunate enough to witness her incredible display of balance, strength, and athleticism on the ice as she struck her

final stance, and they were all left in awe. It appears that a number of them are encouraging the young lady with loud voices.
