While Charlize Theron is familiar with Dior and Paris Fashion Week, Jackson, her 11-year-old daughter, is a different story.

In a rare public appearance, the mother-daughter team attended Tuesday’s Dior fashion presentation in the Jardin des Tuileries.

As they sat in the first row, they both were magnificent. Jackson wore a red checkered blazer with a matching skirt, and Theron, 48, chose a white button-up with a gold beaded maxi skirt.

The Atomic Blonde actress rarely makes public appearances with her two daughters, Jackson, 8, and August, 8, and is cautious about what she discloses about them.

Even so, the trio celebrated Theron’s birthday at a Taylor Swift performance over the summer, and the mother of two posted a brief video of her daughters having a good time.

Theron mentioned in a 2018 interview that she has always wanted to adopt a child.
She remarked,

‘I was always conscious that there are so many children without families in this world. ‘Adoption is an extremely personal decision;

I know people I adore who don’t think they could parent another child as their own. I value that.

But I never perceived a difference between raising an adopted child and my own biological child,

and I know I can’t be the only one out there. I don’t feel as though I am lacking anything. Even when I was in a relationship,

this was always my first option. I was quite clear with my partners about my desire to have children

of my own through adoption, but I was also open to having children through other means. That’s how passionately I felt about it.

At the age of six, Theron adopted her daughter Jackson after ‘many situations that didn’t work out,’ in 2012.

In an interview with W Magazine’s Five Things podcast in 2020, she stated that ‘Jax was probably the eighth baby that came around.’

‘As a result, many of them failed. They were frequently high-risk pregnancies. You become emotionally invested, and when things don’t go as planned, you’re devastated.
