On June 22, 1949, Lindsay Wagner was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother Marilyn Wagner worked as a general contractor, while her father William Wagner was
a skilled photographer. When she was just seven years old, her parents got divorced. Along with her mother, Wagner moved to a California community just outside of Pasadena.
She entered the entertainment industry at a young age. She was 12 years old and watching children for James Best,
an actor who was a family friend. Wagner agreed to enroll in his acting class at his suggestion and never looked back.
She had ulcers as a child and claimed that acting relieved her discomfort. When she finally had a venue to express her pain,
she once reflected, ‘I felt safe because I didn’t have to put my name on it. At the time, I believe that acting kept me life.
Her debut performance was in a local production of Tennessee Williams’ This Property is Condemned.
She started modeling at a young age since she was naturally beautiful. She frequently did work with Linda Gray, her aunt.
She was hired by Universal Studios and given a weekly salary of $162. She would perform in a few plays with minor roles.
However, the studio had made the decision to let her go in 1975 and had given her one more job in a season finale of The Six Million Dollar Man.
Even though the program at the time was well-known, Wagner wasn’t really interested in it and only
agreed to play the part as a birthday present for her half-sister Randi, who was a die-hard fan.
In a
two-part episode titled ‘The Bionic Woman,’ Wagner portrayed a former tennis player who was Steve Austin’s childhood sweetheart.
He tries to resurrect her using bionic body parts similar to his when she is hurt in a skydiving accident, but her body rejects them, and she dies.
Numerous emails to Universal Studios requesting that they bring back the character were written because of how intriguing the character and Wagner’s portrayal were.
With a new deal that paid her significantly more, they hired Wagner. and developed a plot line to explain
that Sommers had not actually passed away but had been cryogenically frozen so she might be awakened.
Due to this, she created the wildly successful spin-off series The Bionic Woman. Because her program and character were so well-liked, Wagner is now a household name.
The 74-year-old actress is doing well these days. She just shared photos on Instagram of her and her kid,
Alex Kingi. She was stunning, and the caption for the photos read, ‘Scenes from the Port Townsend Film Festival.’
She was dressed in a blouse, a pair of blue pants, and a skimpy scarf. She posed with her son, who was wearing a checkered shirt, and accessorized her look with a face hat and handbag.
The opportunity to see their favorite actress made fans extremely pleased. A supporter remarked that she was ‘a natural beauty.’
Another person continued, ‘You still look fantastic. You never get old. You still look extremely lovely, another admirer chimed in. You’ve also not aged at all.
She looks amazing, even at 74 years old, seems to be what everyone is agreeing on. She is a passionate supporter of healthy food,
meditation, and wellness. She assisted individuals in leading healthier lives during a retreat she hosted.
‘People helped me avoid surgery by teaching me how meditation, prayer, and diet can affect the body,’ she stated.
Together with Ariane Spade, she published a cookbook titled High Road to Health in 1994. The menu included wholesome dishes
for people who had recently chosen to eat vegetarianism. She has also written additional books on wellness, such as The Acupressure Facelift.
