After his ‘Hallelujah’ street performance, a 12-year-old has been called ‘the next Ed Sheeran.’

It might be intimidating to perform something in public where others can comment and criticize. The overwhelming nature of such

emotions can often lead to persons developing a dread of speaking in front of an audience. It may prevent people from developing their skills to the fullest extent, which they were given by God.

Fortunately, Allie Sherlock and 12-year-old Fionn Wheelan have not let any unfavorable comments stop them.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, the young people sing together to Leonard Cohen’s 1980s popular song “Hallelujah” while standing by the side of a busy street.

In the five-and-a-half-minute clip, Allie sings and plays the bass guitar. Fionn, a little redhead child,

joins her and provides passionate support for Allie. She starts off their performance by strumming on her guitar and singing the song’s iconic but straightforward chorus.

The second verse is then sung by Fionn alone as he joins in. The majority of people will be astonished and

perplexed by the young man the instant he opens his mouth and begins singing. His voice is amazing and has a wonderful, calming, and polished tone.

It’s a little surprising to think that someone so young could have such a nice, mature voice. Some people would

even compare Fionn to musical icon Ed Sheeran, as the video’s title suggests. According to the title of the video, ‘’12 year old young Ed Sheeran’ is the new Ed.’

It’s not yet apparent if the young man will go on to have a career like Ed Sheeran. But it’s obvious to

everyone with functioning hearing that Allie and Fionn’s street performance is exceptional! As they offer

the pair a well-deserved round of applause, the several dozen spectators who have gathered to watch the performance concur.
