George, a 4-year-old hockey fan attending his first game, had a special experience on February 11 when the Detroit Red Wings

played the Vancouver Canucks. During the third quarter of the game, the camera crew put George on the jumbotron, and the fans went wild.

For roughly 30 seconds, the camera alternated between images of George and those of Canucks supporters as the yells for George and boos for

the Canucks fans grew louder each time. George grinned, and pictures and videos of the incident quickly spread online.

Fans and Chelsea Rae Miller, George’s mother, congratulated the Red Wings team for making his debut so memorable.

After the game, a lot of people approached George for photos and high-fives, according to his mother.
