While waiting for a train, a woman notes a little orange figure on the tracks. You will be surprised…

In New York City, Kristine Malone was on a train platform when she heard a desperate cry echo up from the rails below.

At first, she didn’t see anything strange when she peered over the rails and gravel.

She looked at a tiny patch of orange fur smashed up against a stone wall, and then her gaze switched to it.

The little ball of fur turned to face her and yelled angrily once more.

Malone issued a message on social media announcing the emergency and requesting help since she understood

that time was of the essence. John Debacker, the vice president of Long Island Cat/Kitten Solution, Inc., got involved when this occurred.

Debacker knew that the rescue would be difficult, but when he got at the railway station, he found more difficulties than he had anticipated.

It was difficult to get the cat because he was down in the tracks, according to what Debacker told The Dodo.

We were attempting to figure out a way to approach the kitten from street level, but we were unable to do so without risking our own safety.

In order to acquire safe access to the rails, Debacker found two Metro-North police officers right away and told them about the kitten.

‘They were animal lovers, too,’ Debacker remarked. They turned off the power and led us over to the railroad rails.

Debacker and the other rescue team members promptly grabbed the kitten with a rescue net after

he had made it to the train tracks. They went as close to him as they could without scaring him away.

The kitten was finally out of harm’s

Debacker has a lot of experience with stray animals because he is a full-time animal rescuer, and he noticed immediately away that this little orange cat was different from the rest.

He was obviously frightened, but Debacker remarked: ‘He’s definitely not like one of those regular wild cats. I’ve had a lot of them. He immediately struck me as being incredibly nice.

Debacker gave the kitten a name, Metro, and took him to a nearby shelter called Last Hope, Inc. for a night or two.

A few weeks later, Kristine Malone, the person who had heard Metro’s screams on the train tracks originally, visited the cat at Last Hope and ultimately decided to formally adopt him.

At an apartment adjacent to the train tracks where he was first discovered, Metro is currently having the time of his life with Malone and her daughter.

It’s difficult to imagine Metro’s life before he was stuck on the train tracks, but one thing is for certain: He is now exactly where he belongs.

Metro is ‘thoroughly enjoying his new life in his new home… like a feline fairy tale,’according to a Facebook post

from Last Hope, Inc., which also stated that ‘[Malone] and her daughter, Destiny, sing Metro’s praises.’
