When it comes to handling the unexpected, reporters and anchors are seasoned professionals. They are accustomed to reporting on urgent,
unexpected news as soon as it is made available, with little advance warning. However, one anchor was obviously shaken by a story she read in the station’s studio, throwing her for a loop.

The weekend anchor for WRCB, a station in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is Cornelia Nicholson. Riley Nagel, a reporter who is her boyfriend,
also works at the television station in southeast Tennessee. In a video that was uploaded on YouTube, Cornelia was filming a promo for a
forthcoming broadcast when she encountered something unexpected. But it ended up being without a doubt the day’s top story.
Coming up, we have the tale of two aspiring writers who just so happened to fall in love with one another
while working in the same field, she read. Riley Nagel from Local 3 comes in to the studio to give us a special report.

Cornelia makes every effort not to sound astonished throughout the reading.
After she introduced herself, her reporter boyfriend arrived at the studio with a bouquet of roses and announced that he indeed had a remarkable report.
Riley then approaches the anchor’s desk, kneels down, flashes a huge diamond ring, and begins to ask Cornelia for her hand in marriage.
Could I ask Cornelia Nicholson to be my wife? Riley queries.
She is so shocked and overjoyed that she is unable to verbally respond to Riley’s crucial inquiry. Instead, she gives a headshake while saying, ‘Yes.’

After saying yes to his offer, she turns to face Riley on the left.I have to put it on? Riley queries.
Cornelia merely replies, ‘Yes,’ as she continues to enjoy the moment. That is a poignant, meaningful, and, thanks to Riley, creative moment that they will both always cherish.
