It’s common to come across touching accounts of people getting along with their animal companions.
We live in a world with many amazing creatures, many of which we have domesticated throughout the years.
dogs, horses, chickens, cats The number of creatures that today typically coexist with humans is endless.
What about manta rays, then?

According to reports, a small child and a massive manta ray formed a remarkable friendship some time ago on the coasts of Vueltas in La Gomera, on the Canary Island.
According to reports, the location in question is a paradise for marine life, including enormous rays and vibrant fish that may flourish there and frequently swim near to the harbor.
Due in large part to the long-standing practice of fishermen discarding their bycatch into the water
at the end of the day, one specific local dock became the setting for the most improbable of friendships.

As a result, many more rays regularly approached the coast than they otherwise might have.
And it was this mysterious-to-outsiders phenomena that made it possible for Joel, a young native, to encounter a particularly huge manta ray.
Amazing video captures the ray swimming up to a flight of stone steps to consume Joel’s catch!
We aren’t kidding.
The ray in issue reportedly used to frequent the harbor each morning in order to get a chance to eat off Joel’s palm.

Joel, on the other hand, discovered a unique technique for getting his friend’s attention. Unafraid of
this deep-sea diver from a watery realm, the youngster would pat the ray on the head when he rose to the surface.
In 2013, a YouTube video of Joel and his manta ray pal was uploaded. It has received almost 59 million views as of this writing!
