Malinda Herman and Her Dog Have Gone Viral, Making Her the Internet’s Favorite Hipster Grandma

Malinda Herman is known as the ‘Hipster Grandma’ from Bangkok, Thailand. Videos of her singing and playing the guitar with her dog sitting on the fretboard have gone viral.

Animal videos are widely renowned for their potential to become viral, and Malinda’s four-legged pal is yet another famous dog to grace the internet.

Marlinda’s main goal when she started filming these performance videos was never to go popular. After a tragic vehicle accident over two decades ago,

the 69-year-old has used music as a kind of therapy. With her Chihuahua (Jiw Jam) by her side in the majority of

her films, she has been gaining new followers all around the world with each video she has published.

‘My car flipped over in an accident I had about 20 years ago,’ Malinda recalled. My nerves were destroyed by the crash, and the left side of my face became paralyzed.

If you pay close attention to her recordings, you might not initially detect the paralysis, but Malinda claimed that you will.

There are many various kinds of viral videos, but Malina’s tale makes hers even more captivating to watch.

The Thai musician has posted a wide variety of tracks, some of which are by the Beatles. Jiw Jam,

which loosely translates to ‘Small and Pretty,’ is the name of her tiny Chihuahua. He is a member of her band and appears in most of her videos.

After the accident, Malinda found it difficult to look at others because she was embarrassed by how she appeared.

Malinda continued to struggle with this despite the fact that she had been told by doctors that she would require surgery in order to get better.

She began vocal training instead of having surgery since she didn’t want to have it. The plan was to attempt to restore some movement to her face.

I practiced the tedious A-E-I-O-U exercises for years, she said, until one day when my son brought me a guitar and suggested I try singing because he knows I’ve always loved to sing.

Her musical counseling began to work. As she began to sing, her face began to move more. As a result,

she created a YouTube account in 2016 and began posting videos there. She estimates that she has reclaimed 75% of her face motions as a result of her voice workouts.

Little Jiw Jam and Malinda first met that year. When Malinda’s previous dog passed away, her hairdresser,

who could tell she was grieving, offered her a puppy. There was a change in the original plan when she went to pick up her new pet.

Jiw Jam the Little would not leave her alone. As soon as Malinda scooped her up, she knew they were

meant to be. Jiw Jam came to sit on her lap and doze off in her music videos after bringing her home.
