At some point, the heroes of our today’s article seemed to have a really promising career. However, all of them appeared on the Hollywood blacklist.

Everyone has their own reasons.Some really deserve it, but not all. Many still don’t understand why they were treated like that.

Vanessa Marquez

In the 90s, Vanessa Marquez starred in the hospital drama ER. She had the role of a nurse named Wendy Goldman.

The actress said that George Clooney helped blacklist her after she spoke about harassment on the set of the popular show. Clooney has denied the allegations.

I had nothing to do with the casting. I was an actor and only an actor. If he was told that I participated in any decisions regarding his career, he was lied to.

‘The fact that I failed to influence his career is only surpassed by the fact that I didn’t’ he said.

After ER, Vanessa only had a few roles. In August 2018, the actress died in her own home after being shot by the police.

Mel Gibson

After Mel Gibson was arrested in 2006 for making lewd comments about police officers, he became persona non grata in Hollywood. In 2006-2010, he had only one role in the movie ‘Early Dark’.

Then, in 2010, when he was embroiled in controversy over death threats to his ex Oksana Grigorieva,

any comeback became less likely as William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, the talent agency that represented him, fired him.

Hollywood has only begun to forgive him in recent years. His film Hacksaw Ridge won critical acclaim and six Academy Award nominations, including Best Director for Gibson.

Mira Sorvino

It is known that Mira Sorvino’s career was destroyed by Harvey Weinstein. This happened after she rejected his sexual inclinations.

She told Ronan Farrow that she rejected him several times and even reported his harassment to a Miramax employee, then noticed her career was suffering.

‘There may have been other factors, but I definitely felt frozen and that my rejection of Harvey had something to do with it,’ she said.

In December 2017, director Peter Jackson admitted that Weinstein insulted Sorvino, telling him that working with him was a ‘nightmare’ and that ‘[he] should be avoided at all costs’.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen was once one of Hollywood’s highest-paid TV actors, but has been steadily unemployed since 2014,

when he was the star of the sitcom Age Management. He once said that he was blacklisted in Hollywood.

This came to light when he filed to cut child support from his ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller.

He claimed in court documents that he was unable to find steady work and was ‘blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry.’

Although he didn’t elaborate, it could be due to his erratic behavior in 2011 when he was fired from Two and a Half Men.

Ashley Judd

Following Mira Sorvino, Ashley Judd has been blacklisted in Hollywood due to her denial of sexual harassment by Harvey Weinstein.

In December 2017, director Peter Jackson confirmed that Weinstein had blacklisted Judd. During the Lord of the Rings trilogy,

Weinstein told her she was a ‘nightmare’ to work with and should be avoided ‘at all costs,’ so Jackson removed her name from the casting list.

In May 2018, Judd filed a defamation lawsuit against Weinstein, alleging that he damaged her career by spreading lies about her in Hollywood.

Rose McGowan

Rose McGowan, best known for her role in the WB drama Charmed, has also claimed that Harvey Weinstein blacklisted her in Hollywood.

He reportedly raped her in the late 90s, and although she didn’t press charges, she settled with him for $100,000. Since then, she has been blacklisted.

This was confirmed by director Robert Rodriguez. He tried to get her out of it by offering her a role in his film Rindhaus (which he was working on at a division of the Weinstein Company).

Although the film received great reviews from critics, Weinstein ‘buried’ it after the film took off at the box office.

Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl was once a sought-after actress, but not now. Rumor has it that she is very difficult on set. Insiders on the set of Life As It Is describe it as a pain.

She has great demands for movie stars. She wants the best. Her reputation is so bad that many in Hollywood don’t even consider her for the role.

She is not worthy It remains to be seen whether Catherine can actually restore her reputation, say her colleagues.
