Dogs are not only wonderful companions, but they may also save your life in an emergency. It’s common knowledge that certain dogs will defend their humans or sound the alarm if they sense danger.

Now, a mother is hailing her dog as a hero for preventing her infant’s death by warning the parents just in time before the child’s breathing ceased.
Kelly Andrew of Boston, Massachusetts is the owner of Henry, a Boston terrier. Recently, the dog started acting strangely at night, breaking into Kelly’s baby’s nursery and frightening it.
Kelly says that because her dog had been ill, she became ‘tired’ of her antics.

That’s when she realized her baby wasn’t breathing.
Kelly’s child was hurriedly transported to the hospital after she discovered that Henry wasn’t being disruptive but rather was trying to save the infant.
The dog had a feeling that something wasn’t quite right. By keeping the infant awake and helping to notify
the parents, Henry undoubtedly saved the baby’s life by allowing her to get medical assistance before it was too late.
‘I don’t know what would have happened if he hadn’t woken her,’ Kelly wrote on Twitter. and ‘We’re not worthy of dogs.’
The baby slept overnight at the hospital and is ‘doing much better’ as of today.
Kelly continues, saying her devoted dog “bravely held the fort all night,” in spite of Henry’s phobia of the dark.
She also thanked Connecticut Children’s Hospital’s emergency room, referring to them as ‘actual heroes’ for helping her daughter.
But Henry the good dog got most of the attention when the story went viral on the internet. People were shocked by the dog’s instincts,

and several even shared stories of their own that were similar, demonstrating that dogs may save lives even in situations where they appear to be acting badly.
‘My service dog kept going in to my parents room several times a night, sniffing my dad’s face and nudging him repeatedly,’ a woman said.
‘We couldn’t figure it out for the longest time.’She would circle back even after they would push her away. As soon as he received his pacemaker, she stopped.
‘I have a chronic illness. Another person stated, ‘I’ve visited the hospital numerous times as a result of
one of my dogs starting to smell and pay attention to a bodily part and warning me to something’s amiss. ‘Hearts of dogs!’
