In New Jersey Dad Drives 1,000 Miles After Wife and Kids’ Flight to Disney Was Canceled: ‘He Is Our Rock’

Following the cancellation of his family’s flight, a man from New Jersey took it upon himself to drive them more than a thousand miles.

After dropping off his wife and two children at the airport to start their journey to Disney World,

Nathan Montanez discovered that United Airlines had canceled their flight to Florida, meaning that he would have to wait an additional two days to start their holiday.

Jill Tobin-Montanez revealed to GNN that she had spent months organizing this trip. Nathan, a supply chain operations worker,

wasn’t even going on the trip because he had work. The trip was canceled fifteen minutes before takeoff, and there were no more ticket options available for days.

‘I told my kids that we’d try again to go to Disney another time, and sometimes life gives you lemons,’ she recounted.

Abruptly, Jill received a message from her spouse saying he had returned to the airport and they needed to meet outside.

‘He asked if we were ready to go as we got in the car, feeling discouraged. Yes, we said, believing that we were heading home. He then instructed us to prepare for a lengthy drive.

‘After that, he turned on the song “On the Road Again” and informed us that he was taking us to Disney!’

In order to ensure they wouldn’t miss a day in the Magic Kingdom, Nathan went on to travel for 17 hours nonstop.

He only missed one day of work when the car arrived in Orlando just after midnight. A few hours later, he turned around and returned to New Jersey.

‘We love this dad so much!’ Jill shouted.

Few individuals in this world would take that action. And the kids are incredibly grateful for what he done for them.

‘They’re still talking about him,’she said in an email addressed to ‘the wife of one amazing dad!’
