At first appearance, the issue appeared to be clear; it concerned who should take custody of a dog named Baby Boy.

The defendant said that she had purchased the dog off the street for a pitiful fifty dollars, while the plaintiff insisted that the dog was his.

In order to allow the dog to finally show its love and loyalty for its rightful owner, she asked the defendant to bring the dog into the courtroom and set it on the floor.
