In a video that was uploaded to YouTube, Reba McEntire and John Legend were among the biggest names in music
who started leaking tears of joy due to the sheer emotion in 20-year-old Dylan Carter’s voice throughout his performance.
Dylan performed Whitney Houston’s ‘I Look to You,’ and it was evident from the opening notes that the song

held particular significance for him. Gwen was immediately convinced of Dylan’s skill from the first few lines.
‘That’s fantastic,’ she said.
The lead singer of No Doubt turned her chair around for the young man a few seconds after she pressed her button.
Niall Horan, John Legend, and Reba McEntire were closely behind. The young man with talent successfully persuaded the four judges to turn their seats in his favor.
Reba said that she had shed a tear or two because of how much the song clearly meant to Dylan, even as the
judges offered their opinions and made their pitches to him. She even started crying as she described his moving performance.

Dylan continued by elaborating on the significance of the song to him.
‘I saw my mom when I saw you guys turn around,’ he remarked. ‘She requested that I sing it at her funeral when she passed away back in October.
I tried and I did everything, but I was unable to finish it. Thus, it was the finest second opportunity. She was really proud of me.
