In 2023, American Isabeau Levito was victorious in the women’s singles category of the Grand Prix de France.
CNN reports that the 16-year-old skater won the short program on Saturday with a total score of 203.22 points.
This occurred after she scored 131.39 to place third in Friday’s free skate program.

Olympics.com reports that in response to a question regarding the mistakes she made during her performance
on Friday, Levito said, ‘I guess we’ll call screwing up the second half of my routine a dramatic finish.’
‘I’m pleased with how the first half of my program went, but I’m also relieved that I made it through, and once I resume training,
I will definitely be working on this a lot more,’she remarked. ‘I’m really pleased with how my program’s first half was executed.’
Levito managed to surpass Nina Pinzarrone’s 198.80 score by a margin of 4.42 points, securing the second position.
The International Skating Union (ISU) reported that Rion Sumiyoshi of Japan, with a score of 197.76, came in third place.

Furthermore, Levito was awarded the tournament’s top creative score by a margin of 2.72 points, according to NBC Sports.
As per US Figure Skating FanZone, Levito’s triumph secures her maiden Grand Prix gold medal in her
professional career. The year before, she had taken home the silver medal from the Grand Prix Final.
