There are a lot of incredibly gifted people that waste their time auditioning for shows like American Idol and The Voice.
They already have all the knowledge and abilities necessary to pursue a career in music. However, many of them are
still uncut gems. Much more effort, coaching, and mentoring is required to help them go to the next level.
In contrast, several of the judges on The Voice believe that Laura Williams, a 20-year-old Pennsylvanian hopeful vocalist,

does not have what it takes to make it. A couple of them even suggested that it might be best to not ‘overcoach’ her because she is so talented.
After only a few seconds of Laura performing Lauren Spencer Smith’s ‘Fingers Crossed,’ two of the judges (Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani) turn their chairs around.
John Legend and Reba McEntire later flip their seats to face the young woman after being convinced by her performance during the audition.
Her command over her voice and delivery are remarkable. The singer has completely blown away the judges.
The show is opened by Gwen Stefani, who calls Laura “one of the best” she’s heard.

According to what I heard from Reba, Laura is a musical genius. Laura has a voice and skill from God himself, Reba believes.
What you already have is a gift from God, so at this point all I can do is try to improve upon it,’ Reba stated. ‘He really did you a huge favor by giving that to you.’
Amazing as that sounds, what makes Laura’s The Voice audition absolutely amazing is that she calls it her ‘first gig.’None of the judges can accept that, and it’s easy to see why.
